June 2026 Events Guide: What’s Happening in New Hampshire’s Lakes Region
June marks the unofficial start of summer in the Lakes Region. Longer days, warmer weather, waterfront dining, outdoor concerts, community festivals, and one of the region's most iconic events make this one of the best times of year to explore everything Lake Winnipesaukee and the surrounding communities have to offer.
Whether you're a year-round resident, a second-home owner, or visiting for the weekend, here's your guide to some of the biggest events happening throughout the Lakes Region in June 2026.
Castle in the Clouds Season is Underway
📍 Moultonborough
One of the Lakes Region's most beloved attractions is officially open for the season. Visitors can tour the historic Lucknow Mansion, enjoy guided experiences, explore miles of hiking trails, take in breathtaking views of Lake Winnipesaukee, and enjoy seasonal dining at the Carriage House Restaurant. Throughout June, the estate also hosts Music Nights and special programs.
Laconia Motorcycle Week
📍 Laconia, Weirs Beach, Meredith & Surrounding Lakes Region
📅 June 13–21, 2026
The largest event of the month returns for its 103rd year. Laconia Motorcycle Week is the oldest motorcycle rally in the United States and attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors from across the country. The nine-day event features scenic rides around Lake Winnipesaukee, vendor villages, motorcycle shows, racing events, hill climbs, live entertainment, and a vibrant atmosphere throughout Weirs Beach and downtown Laconia.
Local Tip: Even if you're not a rider, Bike Week is a great time for people watching, live music, and experiencing one of New Hampshire's most unique traditions.
Live Summer Concerts at BankNH Pavilion
📍 Gilford
Summer concert season officially kicks into high gear in June at BankNH Pavilion, one of New England's premier outdoor music venues. The month features performances from nationally touring artists including Darius Rucker, Dark Star Orchestra, and many more throughout the season. The open-air setting and beautiful Lakes Region backdrop make it one of the most popular entertainment destinations in New Hampshire.
Explore Local Farmers Markets
📍 Meredith, Wolfeboro, Laconia & Surrounding Towns
June brings the return of many local farmers markets throughout the Lakes Region. Visitors can shop fresh produce, baked goods, local meats, flowers, artisan products, and handcrafted goods while supporting local farms and small businesses. Farmers markets are a wonderful way to experience the community and discover local favorites.
Hit the Water
📍 Lake Winnipesaukee, Lake Winnisquam & Squam Lake
June is one of the best months for boating in the Lakes Region. Water temperatures begin to rise, marinas are fully operational, and lake traffic is lighter than the peak summer months. Whether you're enjoying a sunset cruise, paddleboarding, kayaking, or simply relaxing on the shore, the lakes become the center of activity this time of year.
Visit Downtown Laconia's Social District
📍 Downtown Laconia
As New Hampshire's first social district, downtown Laconia offers a unique summer experience where visitors can enjoy beverages from participating establishments while exploring the downtown area. Combined with local shops, restaurants, live music, and community events, it has quickly become a favorite gathering place during the warmer months.
Family-Friendly Summer Adventures
June is also the perfect time to enjoy many of the Lakes Region's family attractions, including:
• Funspot in Laconia
• Kellerhaus Ice Cream & Chocolates
• The M/S Mount Washington Cruises
• Squam Lakes Natural Science Center
• Gunstock Mountain Resort Activities
• Weirs Beach Boardwalk and Arcades
Many seasonal attractions begin full summer operations throughout June, making it a great month for family outings before the peak July crowds arrive.
